How it works
PLAN
Applying a structured set of Community Health Indicators, or 4-CHI Framework, a model designed to evaluate community infrastructure through four key lenses: Place, Connection, Prosperity, and Well-Being. Using our Image-Data Scans (IDS) we identify gaps, strengths, and needs—tailored by age, demographic, and location.

About CivicMix
About CivicMix
CivicMix was born from a deep frustration with transactional engagement and a vision for something more:
a platform that centers the community, not just the checkbox.
CivicMix was founded by Robin Kerns, a veteran community planner and builder with a unique background that blends public engagement, development, and urban policy. Robin holds a Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from UC Irvine and brings more than two decades of experience in housing, environmental resilience, community planning and civic design.
Before CivicMix, Robin spent years inside city & county community development planning departments, and housing authority. He managed LIHTC developments, led community outreach in rapidly changing neighborhoods, and oversaw capital improvements across multi-property portfolios. As a contractor, he built homes. As a planner, he built community trust. Now, with CivicMix, he builds tools for equitable infrastructure.
